Annual Subscription Agreement NYSSBA will update your district quarterly on new laws and regulations that need to be incorporated into your policy manual. NYSSBA will email annotated sample policies and, when recommended, regulations to your district so that your district can modify them and prepare final policies for adoption by the Board of Education. The district should understand and acknowledge that School Policy Update does not constitute the rendering of legal advice or services. The district is solely responsible for the final review and approval of any policy adopted by the Board and is responsible for obtaining any independent legal advice and review it deems necessary.
The subscription year runs from August 1 to July 31. During the year NYSSBA will e-mail your district sample annotated policies and regulations for the board’s consideration. Subscriptions will automatically be renewed on an annual basis and the district billed unless the district gives NYSSBA notice, in writing, that it wishes to cancel the subscription. Should there be any change in the annual subscription fee, the district will be notified in writing.
If your district becomes a non-member of NYSSBA while this agreement is in place, the non-member fee then current will be charged at the time of billing.
